From Multan, the next stop was further south in the city just on the edge of Punjab’s border with Sindh, Rahim Yar khan. This is a 260 km trek. Less than 70 km from the provincial border town of Sindh , this rich agricultural area houses cotton , sugar cane and mangoes and famous for embroidery work even though sitting in the Cholistan desert.

My next colleague originally hails from this region, a hostelite in Iqbal hall like me. He was a quiet chap. He has been a silent canteener . He works in urology .Though I didn’t have much interaction in college with him, it was good to sit down in the studios to explore more about how things were in Nishtar era. He has always been a keen proponent of regular reunions.
